We currently have a Calamp LMU-2000 unit that we require to work with our GPSGate system.
We've currently got it working in basic terms to send position, speed etc, but we'd also like to be able to:
* Ensure harsh acceleration/braking/corner is reporting in
* Sleep at appropriate times to conserve battery power
* Report when disconnected from the ODBII port (it has battery backup)
* In the case of electric vehicles, report when it is charging (currently it sees the vehicle as having the ignition being left on!) or when it is parked (again, for some reason it sees it as idling)
* Lost GPS fix
* Detects if the vehicle has stop/start (and thus doesn't report as idling)
* Impact Detection
We can use device mapper in gpsgate to ensure events are being reported correctly, but it's getting the PEG script right in the first instance, which is where we need help.
