To develop a report based on a group of products that are grouped by their location.
A monthly sales report (which can be specified) for that group of products and a YTD report. It would also indicate stock on hand figures as well.
For example in our Mitre 10 store we have hundreds of bays. These are call Bin Locations or Bins for short.
They have all been named Bin Number: 024A, 024B, 024C etc..
They each store stock i.e one bay has screws in Bin number 004A.
Another Bin is 005J which is Hooks.
Each department manager looks after a specified number of bays.
The report could be customised for each department manager so that it can be saved and re-run each month.
For example: each month a report would run and give me the sales information on Bin number: 024A, 026H, 004G.
It would display sales, gross profit etc.. And compare to last month /year
The goal is to measure the profitability of each bay over time and determine where the weak areas of the store are.
The report will show Sales, Gross Profit and stock turns.
Comparisons can be made to the same month last year, and the same year last year.
There is an excel document attached to show a sample of the report.
The software we use is called Sympac. It runs a Pervasive database Version 11.
To achieve the results above three tables are used that I know and the the required fields are also known.
