roll7 are an early stage tech company based in South East London, with offices in Birmingham and Singapore. The company is half Software Developer (Apps, Games, Brain computer interfaces) and half Digital Agency (Creative Digital, Web, Marketing). We are about to launch our first Mobile App (iOS, Android); an innovative puzzle game called Gets to the Exit and we are looking for a forward thinking Marketing Graduate with a passion for games (you really need to know your games!), apps, social media and all things digital.
With a background in Media Education roll7 is committed to bringing on hard working interns and offering genuine job opportunities, 4 out of our current development team of 5 started as work experience, apprentices or interns. Previous interns have now moved on to high profile jobs in the Games Sector around Europe.
Job Description:
You will be working directly with the Directors to maximize the impact of Gets to the Exit's launch. You will be contacting and seeking out key PR opportunities, running the game's Social Media outlets and forum, looking for strategic partners, collating community feature requests and working with our Creative Director to plan updates to the game. There will be specific tasks and channels that we need you to hit for coverage, but we also want you to bring your own creativity and ideas to the role to maximize the exposure of the game on release.
This opportunity is what you make of it, as with past interns - if you are successful (and the game is successful) there might be opportunities for further paid work. The more you show us in completing marketing projects, the more responsibility we'll give you to lead marketing programs in relation to corporate communications and multimedia. You will have the opportunity to get involved in every facet of our Marketing Strategy including:
- Social Media efforts (blogging, forums, Twitter, Facebook)
- Website multimedia content creation and updates
- Marketing Messaging (website, newsletter, marketing materials, etc.)
Education Level:
Ideally Degree Level 2:1 or higher - work experience is not required, but a background in social media or marketing is an added bonus.

Job Requirements:
For this position, we are not necessarily looking for any particular prior experience or specific educational level but are looking for candidates that have the skills and traits to excel in a start-up environment. A candidate should be most if not all the traits below:
- Be a Smart, Agile Thinker (i.e. good decision-maker who doesn’t get bogged down when problems arise)
- Have a Willingness to Learn about Internet Marketing and Social Media (and use it effectively)
- Proven Ability to Get Things Done (we want to see examples)
