Create a higher resolution of an existing graphic

I have a graphic that's used as the splash screen for my iPad app. It's a refrigerator on a gradient background with a starburst pattern. I need a double resolution version of it for the iPad retina display.
I'll supply the original image, and what I'd like is a Photoshop file created at 2048x1536. The file should have layers intact so I can repurpose it if I need to. (For example, the starburst should be on a separate layer from the fridge, which would be separate from the paper attached to the fridge, etc).
I may have other work depending on how the first job goes.
## Deliverables
I've attached the original file. I'm looking for a high-resolution version of the file, and if you can improve the look of it, keeping the same style, that's even better.
