color illustration for book cover

I have small publishing business and I need a book cover illlustration designed. **I do not need the cover** ONLY a color illustration. The theme is the Great Game, the 19th century ? Anglo/Russian power play over central asia and Jim, the book (by? Rudyard? Kipling.) It is entirely possible that if I am satisfied with the cover further illustrations (in black and white) will be commissioned for the inside of the book. Bids should be accompanied with a proposal, references (prior work) and mock up illustration) Credit with web site will be considered to be included in the book, if consideration in price will be given.
