Create Membership Website using Joomla & Community Builder

Hi I am interested in creating a membership website and a friend of mine told me I should use Joomla and Community Builder and some other modules to quickly create it. I am looking for someone who has a lot of experience creating this type of website and can can quickly it. I want the website to have the following functions: chatting, messaging, forums, profiles, blog, comments / ratings, resource library that includes videos, 3 levels of memberships, reoccurring payments, one time payments for one day events, shopping cart, and PayPal integration. I was wondering there are better applications to use. Have you heard about or used KickApps or JomSocial? Thanks Ed
