**Summary**
This project will completely rewrite the front and back end for a web site selling bank checks. The web site offers bank checks with dog breeds and cat breeds. Other products include checks with custom (submitted by customer) photos on the checks. The site is currently e-commerce enabled and will continue to process credit card payments in the new version. We are willing to accept proposals based on software available already, such as OSCommerce or other commercial products. However, we also would be willing to look at proposals developing a custom solution.
There are two problems to solve, tracking of royalties that must be paid on the photographs printed on the checks and simplifying the current order process.
This project will include all coding of the new functions for this site, both back end and front end as well as developing templates for a new and updated look for the web site. We might be willing to seperate the contract for the design portion of the project from the coding portion, so please mention in your bid if you are only bidding on the coding portion. We have a source that we can employ for the design requirements if needed.
Coding should be done in php (version 4.4 or newer) for the functions requiring server side functionality. The database used will be MySQL (4.x). The html/web coding should be done in xhtml and CSS2. The site should work well in all major browsers (IE, Firefox/Mozilla, Safari, Opera).
We are looking to work with a well qualified coding team or firm. If you do not have feedback here, we will require you to demonstrate your qualifications by providing a portfolio and access to satisfied clients.

## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
## Platform
Linux, PHP, Smarty. HTML should be cross browser friendly. We will check Windows IE and FireFox and Mac Safari at a minimum for compliance.
