customize wordpress theme

Our client has purchased a Wordpress theme that calls for the front page to pull the most recent posts from 8 categories. Demo of how this Wordpress theme currently works can be seen at [login to view URL] Client would prefer that rather than blog posts being called to the front page, 8 different pages (links to these pages using their featured images) would be called to appear on the front page instead. This would require a marriage of pages to categories, and we understand there are a couple of different plug-ins that can assign categories to pages. We need a freelancer who has experience not only manipulating CSS, and Wordpress, but also dealing with the relationship of pages and categories, which is not something that everyone is trained to do in Wordpress. Successful bidder will receive URL to client website, as well as log-in information.
