Change Woocommerce "Product" and "Cart" strings sitewide

We need the "Product" and "Cart" strings that are echoed by the woocommerce code and woocommerce theme template files to be changed sitewide to different strings.
In order to not having to change a lot of php files with every woocommerce or theme update we need this code to be in our child theme's [login to view URL] file. Last but not least, it should not slow anything down!
Note: Don't bid if your solution is to edit .mo language files in order to do this. Our site has WPML running and doesn't use these files. Besides, we would still have to update these files then from time to time, what we do not want to.
