Debugging a DLL

We are looking for help in addressing a crashing bugs in a dll.
One bug occurs usually within ntdll.dll. Disassemblers haave revealed that the crash always occurs in the
function RtlAllocateHeap that cause an
EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION. The crash occurs within the RtlAllocateHeap function itself. Note that it's *not* a memory allocation function returning NULL. One guess is that someone is calling a malloc function with the wrong calling convention.
Another bug is a Java related interaction with the browser.
