We will be building a custom internet TV network which will have at it's heart a client / server relationship built off of the already mature windows media platform. This will be an HD focused content delivery featuring multiple broadcast channels, live streaming, pay per view streaming, and on demand streaming. The most advanced quick start and accelration methods availble through directX technologies must be utilized to ensure the top picture quality even at lower bandwidths as well as "quick start" DirectX technologies that see an instant start of videos with no delay upon selection.
You must be comfortable with Windows Media SDK's and know how to develop with Microsofot SDks as well as how to seek support when issues arise. The system will have three components to it as described below.
##### PLAYER
The player will be built off of a Windows Media Player foundation with custom skins and controls. The art and design work will be done by another group, it is not part of this bid. The Player will have hooks into pay-per-view content, on demand content, dynamic advertising, shopping services. There will also be facilities to track the users use of fearures and functionaly and report back to the server.

##### SERVER & CONSOLE
The server will be built off of a Windows Media Server platform. You will build a custom web console that mange Windows Media Server Services as well as the custom functionality to ur server. Will build in features for Pay-per view stremaing, on-demand stremaing, live-streaming, user tracking and statistics and preferences storage.. etc. Will also need to have intelligent advertising capabilities, where tags exist for content and products can be displayed based on those tags. Will integrate tightly with SQL Server.
