Calorie Diet Program

I am wanting to create a program where I can enter someones details (height, weight etc) then have the program create a foodplan for that person. There are a number of variables involved (meal calorie totals, carbohydrates, protein, fats etc), and also a number of different 'programs' for different weeks on this 'diet'. These 'programs' include fat loss, body maintenance & muscle gain. I will also need a starting database of foods and their nutrional listings (cals, carbs, prot, fat), but also have it so that new foods can be added - I would also like this section to allow for recipes (their nutritional stats, ingredients, directions etc). I can provide the basic starting database for the foods to be added. The plans will be different for males & females also. At present, I need this program as a stand alone program for windows. I can provide many of the formulas and calculations for the particular 'diets', and I can also provide a very basic sample excel spreedsheet of what I have been using to date. In reviewing your comments, I am aware that I need to be more specific in what I require from this program. I have altered the request description a little, but in case you do not get a chance to re-read that, I am writing to you each to let you know my more specific details. I have a very small and basic list of foods that I would want included in this program. As it is so basic, it is very important that the list can be added to at any point through the program. I also have many of the calculations that you may need in setting up the foodplan, as there are a great deal of variables - Gender, Age, Height, Weight, Activity Level, Weight loss/weight gain/weight maintenance & on top of that, there are about four levels in the foodplan. I will also need the program to be able to provide ‘shopping lists’, have a section where you can input your body measurements & calculations & from there print out a report of your progress, and also have somewhere where you can enter in recipes with their nutrional properties (similar to the food database). Each day is split into either five or six meals and each of these meals have certain ratios of protein:carbs:fats & amount of calories for the meal. I will need the program to let the user know (maybe by using font colours etc) if they have gone too far out of their personal guidelines for these figures. (There would need to be a 5-10% give or take allowance, before the user was notified that they would need to make some changes). I have been doing these foodplans up using excel at the moment, so that is how I am able to tell you the calculations. Our computer is using windows xp home edition. I would like for this program to be an entity in its own right & not require another program to run it - this is important as I will want the program to be able to run on any windows compatible computer (eventually it would be good to have it available for other computers such as mac etc) I would like to be able to access the program through the desktop as a desktop application. It is important to me that the program be as visually attractive as possible & easy to use (mostly 'point & click' & drop down menus etc). I would like this to be a program in its own right to run on windows (we use xp home edition). I would like it so that there can be a desktop icon for it. Not sure if that helps :-)
