Agent to run ona Win Server to notice when an Exchange email has not been received ...(repost)

I receive emails daily from multiple sources, that are auto generated by a health monitoring piece of software.

At the moment these emails are ending up in an Exchange Public folder.

These emails are to do with the status of a project running on some remote computers, and can either signify "happy" or "sad", or the fact the email has not been sent at all. In the future there is also the possability of different states as well. (ie perhaps a preventative warning etc)

We sift through these emails and pick deal with any "issues". It is fairly obvious to see the "unhappy" ones, but quite often for whatever reason the application that sends the email does not run, and then we dont receive any email at all - and this needs picking up on too.

So we have a checklist, and have to cross each unit off every day. Ideally I would like to automate this!

I need an application that is run daily, and can pick up on the "sad" states (or other future states), or the fact there has been no email at all and notify us, and let the happy states go silent.

Ideally all emails would still go into the Exchange public folder for reference, but the main reason for this app is to pick up on the "problem" issues.

So the spec is :-

Must be able to run on a Win2k3 server daily (schedule can be the OS scheduler if you like)

We can put whatever key words or signals in the emails we like.

We should be able to add extra email sender units

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
