I’m looking for someone program a customized used book store inventory system. What I plan on doing with the program is to provide used bookstore owners with a good inventory system. And in addition to giving them an inventory system I want be able to list their books on the Internet with several Internet websites. At the same time giving them the ability to cross network with other bookstore owners so they can sell a use book to there customers even if they don’t have the book in there own inventory. (That the reason for the automatic notification when someone sales a book that’s not in there inventory.) I am open to any suggestions on how you think this could be done. . ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). Should be web based. Have the ability to add unlimited accounts or used bookstores to the system that are secured with a user name and password. Each store owner should be able to scan books in and out of there inventory in an easy way using a simple barcode scanner. When a book is first scanned in the program will then look in the permanent database for a matching IBSN number. If there is one it will automatically fill all the available information about the book like the name, author, title and original sell price. If there is no information in the database the it will use a database filtering program that will go out and search several websites that list books by there IBSN numbers and collect all the need information. It will then save that info to the permanent database so if that book is ever scan in again it wont have to do a search for it. To see a similar program go to: [login to view URL] Inventory list need to be updated and kept current as fast as possible to avoided double selling the same book. Have the ability to upload the most current list to several book websites like [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] at once. This should be done automatically with out the need for any user input. The sell price on all books listed should be automatically calculated by searching books for sell on several websites and averaging them. For example a book might be listed for sell for $3.00, $3.25 and $3.55. The average would come to $3.27. Then there would be setting that allowed me to change how much above or below the average price I want to list all my books at. This would be set using a percentage but would not allow me to list a book below a definable percentage of the original sell price of the book. There would also be one more setting that would allow you to over write this pricing method when you scan a book in. If this were the case you would just simply enter in the price that you want sell the book at when you were scanning it in to your inventory. Each book store owner should be able to search there own inventory for a book by title, author, or IBSN number. If they don’t have what they are looking for in there own inventory they should also be able to search all the other book inventory for the book. When they found a book in some one else’s inventory list it would show the price of the book. This would be determined by a percentage of the books original sale price and would be set by each store owner. Unless priced other wise when scanned in. It would also include standardized shipping prices. If they find what they are looking for in someone else’s inventory list then there should be an option to sell it. If they select this option they will take the money form the costumer that wants the book. Then enter the name and address to were it need to go. Then the program will remove the book for the others sellers list and any list that have it on the net(so the don’t try to sell it to someone else) and then send the person that has the book a shipping order with all the information they need to send it to the right person. If a book is listed on a website and sells they will send an e-mail requesting an order be filled the program would need to look at the e-mail and the automatically remove that book from the inventory list and then forward the e-mail to the owner who had the book so they could ship it off. The program would automatically keep an itemed list of all books an owner has sold on the net, from another bookstore, or a book another store owner sold for him. When logged in to there account they could look at this any time. At the end of every month each store owner would get an atomic statement through the program or email (which ever works the best) showing how much money they owe or are getting. They may have money coming to them or they may owe me money. For example if I sell a bunch of there books online or other store owner sell there books for them I well take a small fee and then pay them the rest. But if they sell a lot of book for other stores they will take a small percentage and then pay me the rest I will the take a small percentage for putting the two together and then pay the original book owner. The inventory system needs to keep automatically keep track of who gets how much. ## Platform Windows 98 or higher
