Task: Create an independently executable program to perform a series of calculations on sports betting. The calculations are specified and currently performed in an existing Excel model. We estimate that a strong programmer can develop the program in 2-3 working days. We will be available for calls/chat to clarify any issues. Objective: Significantly improve the data processing speed, as compared with the existing Excel model. Platform and programming language: The executable program must be able to run on a standard computer with Windows XP or later The programming language can be chosen freely to optimize performance, but C++ or a similar language will be preferred End products and delivery criteria: The programming provider must deliver: • An executable program which performs all model calculations as specified by the existing Excel model and as described in this project specification document • The source code for the executable program • All global copyrights and intellectual property rights to the executable program and the source code The delivery criteria for the executive program are: • Must accurately perform the calculations in the existing Excel model, and deliver the same output results as the existing Excel model • Must be able to reach a processing speed of at least 100 model combinations per second (specified under “Description of the program”) Next steps: Please bid on the project with your hourly rate. We will then select a couple of programmers to share the excel model with and then based on that get an offer for the full project. Programmer with lowest hourly rate x work hours will win (given positive feedback on profile).
