Take a look at [login to view URL]
This website is up and running and currently taking orders.
Let me explain how it works:
A user logs on to [login to view URL] because they want food delivered to them where a restaurant DOES NOT offer delivery service.
They put in their zip code and the avail restaurants in that area are displayed.
They select a restaurant from the list and view the menu and select their food - which goes into a shopping cart with a total.
When they check out, they need to be able to pay with a credit card to place the order - so it needs to be processed by the webpage.
The order is then sent via the website to the appropriate delivery center, based on zip code location.
A text message and email is sent to a editable number and address to alert the owner there is an order waiting.
The owner verifies the order and presses a button to fax the order to an editable fax number for the restaurant.
The restaurant notifies the driver when the food is ready that it can be picked up.
A database must maintain all of the sales info so that billing can be done at the end of month... reporting features are also necessary.
Here are the improvements that are needed in addition to the above functionality.
The site looks like a beginner wrote the code
1) The site must be recreated with better graphics. (I do not have the source code)
2) The site must have all the background code in place to update vendors, menus, prices, faxes, pages, taking credit cards and more.
3) The site must be written to allow multiple users to log on and manage the system from multiple locations --- let me explain... if an order comes in for a restaurant in one town, the order must go to the assigned store for THAT zip code... if its a different zip code, the order needs to go somewhere else... all this program function must exist somehow.
4) Reports are critical... I can provide examples of the reports it does now.
