This is the instructions from vendor. The "Service Provider Search" XML web service is located in [login to view URL] This address also contains the Service Description (WSDL) at [login to view URL] as well as test pages for each of the operations. This service currently supports 2 operations: 1. ListSpecialties - This returns a list of all Specialties available for selection. 2. FindServiceProviders - This returns a list of Service Providers available for referral that match the selection criteria that was passed as parameters to this operation. Here are the steps to searching for Service Providers: 1. Call ListSpecialties to get the list of Specialties available in the system. 2. Display a form that collects: - Last Name (or partial Last Name) of the Service Provider(s) being searched (optional) - A selection list containing the list of Specialties collected in step 1 that the user can select from (required) - Zip code of the area where Service Providers are located (or within the given distance) (required) - Distance (in miles) to search around the Zip Code (required). 3. Once the user submits the form, call the FindServiceProviders operation and pass it the information collected in step 2. For Specialty ID, pass the that was returned in step 1 for the Specialty that was selected by the user. Security: Each operation requires the client to pass in a Login ID and Password that is a valid Gateway Login ID and Password. The system will perform authentication and authorization checks on this Login ID to determine which information the client is allowed to get. It is recommended that this Login ID and Password be NOT hardcoded into the client program but instead be entered by the user or be read from a "config" file that can be updated without having to change the client program.
