chmod php script needed

I need a ftp script for changing file permissions in our webs. Script 1: secure a web when it is finished. We install Joola webs and you can find recommended Joomla file permissions on Google. Mostly files will be 644 and directories 777. We can provide links which shows recommended permissions. Script 2: unsecure a web so we can do changes and new installs in the web. Typically the /components, /images and /modules folders. Later we need to run script 1 to secure the web after the changes have been made. We have many sites and need this process to be as efficient as possible. How do you suggest we could insert the site variables and do the updates? The path, ftp logon, password and server will change for the various websites. Can we do this locally? Should we compile a joomla component and install it in all the webs? Or do we change the files and upload and run manually for each site? As you can see we need your advice on this. We tested an ftp schript for chmod and made it work. This script is attached. However, we will listen to your advice. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
