Compile Kernel & RPM Package(repost)

Under Trustix Linux 2.2 i require the kernel that comes with the distro to be recompiled with a change to one of the compile options. I then need an easy way to install the new kernel package on my server (preferably an rpm install) as the server doesnt have any developer tools installed. If neccesary i can provide a test server, but hopefulyl the job shouldnt take a knowledgable Linux person more than a few minutes to do?
