The required system will be capable of: 1. Registering new users, log-in existing users, and retrieve forgotten password to email. 2. Logged-in users see a weekly calendar and can navigate between weeks. Each weekly calendar support the designation of times available for appointment requests (see below), and will show appointments already scheduled with clients. New appointments can be set by cilcking the calendar and specifying appointment details (name, email, notes) and length (by dragging/clicking the calendar). Existing appointments can be cancelled by a click, with a cancellation email sent automatically to the appointment email. Tentative appointments (see below) can be approved or rejected, generating email automatically to the client. 3. Each calendar has external link (e.g., [login to view URL]) where the calendar is shown with available slots (marked as available and still vacant from appointments); clients can click an available slot, leave details (see above) which will add a tentative appointment request and mark the slot as unavailable. Implementation will use SQL Server database, .NET backend, and full AJAX client (no ASP.NET) compatible with IE 6/7, FireFox 1.5/2 and Safari on Windows. Design should be based on passing just data between web client and server - no rendering of HTML on server (gmail-style). The coder must commit to follow-up with expected enhancements immediately following the first phase described above (and the implementation should be made to accommodate such enhancements). Graphic design will be provided and integrated as a separate follow-up project as well.
