I need a coder to go over the following code and make this small piece of code compatible with MSIE 5+, 5.5, 6+, 7+, 8+ and Firefox 1.5, 2+, 3+ and Opera 7+, 8+, 9+, 9.5+ and Safari 2, 3+. It needs to work on Linux, Windows and Mac.

It is a small piece of code of a CSS Sprite. I included the original and the sprite version in the attachment ([url removed, login to view]). The original version gives you the idea how it should look like.

The main reason for this sprite is to reduce the number of http requests, from 7 to 2 (or 1 if you can make that possible!).

Any additional css code for specific browsers should be loaded in seperate css files and javascript files (i know this will increase the number of http requests but i can add these again to my own already existing external files and thereby keep the number down).

You might also want to have a look at:

If you have any questions, please do not heistate to ask me.

## Deliverables

to clarify: with Safari 3+ I am also aiming at all versions above (including Safari 41)
