Develop a chatbot(repost)
$500-5000 USD
Paid on delivery
This project is to develop a chatbot that interfaces with Yahoo, AIM, and MSN chat clients. Users of those clients will add the chatbot as a friend and then be able to receive messages from the chatbot. That chatbot will interface with an RSS feed URL which indicates whether there is a new message available to send to the chat clients. The chatbot simply checks the RSS feed every N seconds and then posts any feed updates to the chatbot clients. The chatbot can run in 2 modes: 1) Notify all available users 2) Notify N users each time ??" in this mode, the chatbot keeps track of which buddies it has most recently notified and round-robins through the buddy list, notifying N of them each time it gets an update. Administration: The chatbot should maintain (and save) a list of friends that have added the chatbot as a friend. A simple administrative web page should show the list of chatbot friends, and status, email address and last status change time for each friend. The admin web page should also allow for configuration of the chatbot settings, and turning the chatbot on/off. Completion of this project includes uploading the chatbot to my Linux server. I will provide SFTP/PUTTY access to the server. You can run the chatbot in your choice of language - Perl, PHP, Python, etc. Please ask any questions before bidding!
