Change some code to allow for different profit margins per category

Hi, I have an OsCommerce website and all my products are updated automatically daily through a script which I have that takes my suppliers pricelist and updates my database accordingly. At the moment I have one profit margin set that is global throughout the script. What I want is someone to take the script and modify it a bit so that it firstly keeps track of the main category it is in, and the to have a list of main categories and the profit margins I want for them, and to then continue the rest of the updates as usual (and if a specific main category is not explicitly listed then it will use a default profit margin). I cannot provide a copy of my website easily, so I expect the coder to have a thorough understanding of OsCommerce and should be able to look at the code I already have and to analyize it and see what needs to be changed without the need for their own testing. That way the code can then be sent back to myself and I can then do the testing myself. This should be VERY achievable if you know what you are doing. Also, the script I have provided in this bid request is completely CONFIDENTIAL and CANNOT be shown to anyone, and MUST be destroyed if you do not have your bid accepted. In your bid request, please explain how you think you will be doing it all so that I know that you understand what I am after (please be as detailed as possible - I do have programming experience, but just dont have the time or desire to do it myself).
