Basic POS System for Rails

We are looking for a someone to build a basic point of sale system in Rails. This app would be a front end for an existing web-based database system that currently uses PHP and MVC architecture. Basic specs: allow users to edit/add/delete inventory hosted on an existing MYSQL DB; allow users to create and store consignment forms, invoices and credit notes. Allow users to browse their store of forms and generate reports from these three types of data. In addtion, the user should be able to create taxes that are stored with their user id and charged on the reports. We would like to have the system finished in 3-4 weeks maximum. While this will be a real hosted app, we will no doubt build upon and it do that with the developer who has originally deployed it. We have done a lot of business on elance over a number of years and we continue to work with service providers who we have met through elance. What we require of you: we want to see some rails apps that you have already built so that we can see you have some sense of how to build a good ui; you will have to sign and NDA and we own all rights to the product and source code. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Ruby on Rails
