Betting Software

Introduction: Fastimes Indoor Karting specializes in precision, high-speed European Karting. We host many private Corporate Events. Unfortunately, some of our clients are not up to the physical demands of racing on out track. We would like to offer a second option for Corporate Events that include pari-mutuel betting. Our employees will race, and our customers will bet on the outcome. Software Project Description: To make this happen, we need software that can handle the logistics of up to 100+ people making wagers and collecting winnings, all with 5-10 minute turnaround between races. Because it is pari-mutuel betting, the software should be able calculate the pot size should a particular driver win. The software should be able to run on a Windows 2000 machine without an internet connection. The software should also be able to utilize our Epson POS M129C Printer. We have not yet developed a definite procedure of how all this will work, so if necessary, we can be flexible around what the software would be capable of. I think with a face-to-face meeting at our facility, I would be able to give a better explanation of what we’re looking for. Schedule: We’re not under a definite schedule, but we would to like to have the software as soon as possible, without sacrificing quality or reliability. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform The software should be able to run on a Windows 2000 machine without an internet connection.
