REPOST - NOT WYSIWYG - But need Edit and Preview. 1. Summary Required a DLL or program which will work seamlessly with a pre-existing VB.Net application. The DLL needs to allow users to create / edit tables while having most of the functionality of HTML tables and font formatting. The DLL/Program should be in an easy to use format. You may at this point wish to refer to enclosed document [login to view URL] for a detailed description of the issue. 2. Inputs and Outputs a. The DLL/Program will need to accept: i. A number, which shall be an 'Image ID' ii. A string with data instructions used to create the table, e.g. HTML table codes. iii. Labels, tool tips and any instruction text, so I can pass in German and English texts. iv. Boolean to allow 'always on top'. v. Parent form handle as an owner, so that the DLL can be modal. b. Required from the DLL i. A bitmap object of the table of type [login to view URL], NOT A FILE. ii. A string with data instruction on how the table was created. e.g. HTML table codes. 3. Data Specifiactions a. Image ID The Image ID must be stored within the image. This can be done by slightly altering the colour codes of the 6 pixels in the bottom line of the image. The colour of pixel 0,0 could be used as a base as the image may or may not have a border. As an example, if the first pixel colour code used might be 255,255,255 it might become 254,254,254 therefore the code would be 111. The number will be 15 digits in length. b. Text Data Instructions of Tables It doesn't matter what structure is used by the data instructions to create the tables, however ideally they should resemble the html codes used to create a table. It will be necessary to provide the same functionality as the following HTML codes. rowspan, colspan, Font size, font color, bgcolor, valign, align, tr, td, table, Cellspacing, cellpadding, b, u, i, Strike, br, img, Border 4. Miscellaneous requirements Please see the Deliverables section. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). **4. Miscellaneous requirements ** a. If it is necessary to add any buttons, icons will be provided unless it can be shown that the icons used will match the style used throughout the rest of the application. b. A function will be required within the DLL to allow all but user readable text to be stripped out from the Text Data instructions. c. It will be necessary to allow users to add their own images to cells in the table. As the existing application is designed for use on a network, it is essential that cater for these images and copy them to a sub folder or documents settings folder. d. The DLL must contain a function which will look at the instruction string and determine whether any local images (in the sub folder) are present, then return true if they are and false if not. It will then be possible to prompt the user to see if they wish to proceed, if they do and the images don’t exist the DLL must remove them from the table when entering the dialog. e. A Function must be included to retrieve the image ID from the image. f. The DLL should be coded in a way that restricts its use to the main application only. g. It is essential to add a Screen gradient for XP OS’s and above, with code which does the following :- Dim rect As Rectangle = New Rectangle(0, 0, [login to view URL], [login to view URL]) Dim gBrush As LinearGradientBrush = New LinearGradientBrush(rectangle, clr1, clr2, [login to view URL]) [login to view URL](gBrush, 0, 0, [login to view URL], [login to view URL]) For other lower OS’s it must match the main programs default dotnet colour scheme. h. When maintaining and entering text into cells it will be necessary to show text selection, standard text cursors and mouse pointers. i. The DLL must call the Standard windows font dialog to format fonts. j. If the user is creating a new table, it will be necessary to show a simple dialogue to allow the user to select how many rows and columns are required. Ideally this should be done in a similar fashion to the way tables are created via the toolbar in word and other similar applications. k. Comments should be included at regular intervals in your code. ## Platform Windows 98 and above.
