Hi there, The project is this. I need to retrieve a series of file types (mostly pdf), that are stored in a Oracle database as BLOB's. These are binary files. The files must be modified prior to display, this involves the removal of the first 22 bytes of the returned binary stream, prior to display in ASP pages. The way I envisaged this is either through the use of an activeX dll (on a windows 2000 server) or by code within the ASP Page. I don't want to use any third part components, and want to pull the record from the DB and dependent on the MIME parse it directly to the user. I don't want to have to create a temporary file on the server either. ## Deliverables The solution must work with ADO recordset values from an Oracle 9i DB. Either [login to view URL] or ASP Page is acceptable No third party components are to be used If you need more information, then please feel free to get in touch. ## Platform Windows 2000 server Internet Information Server 5.0 (IIS5.0)
