Active Listing

I need a proof of concept developed. This is to be integrated into an existing ASP.NET application eventually, so it must be compatible (Javascript OK, ASP.NET preferred, nothing else unless you can convince me it fits). What I need is a window that shows the contents of a table in the database (SQL Server 2000) and if a user has it open, the listing refreshes itself when the data in the table is refreshed (by another user). I don't know if this can be done from the server (is the server aware of the existing sessions?) or if the window will have to run a timer and try to refresh itself periodically, or if there is some other method that I haven't thought of. Because this is a proof of concept, please only bid if you're sure you can pull it off. I may accept more than one bid if there are interesting alternatives available. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
