I've had someone develop an application that allows users to upload zip files to the server. I've modified that form to populate a hidden field value with the logged-in username, and thus I can now track how many uploads each user has made. I now need a method to track how many downloads each user has made. Right now, the downloads page consists of a display of all the uploads records from the database, each record containing these fields: FileID(Auto), AuthorName, title, Category, FileLevel, Description, Filename, DownloadNo, and UploadDate. DownloadNo, of data type "long" is something which might come in handy. I don't know how the coder populated this field but it tracks how many times the uploaded file has been downloaded. It holds either zero or a positive integer. But that may not be useful, I don't know. I just need to track: 1. How many downloads collectively a user has made from folder "upload". 2. What their most recent download was. Hopefully this sounds pretty simple. I'd prefer a SQL server solution, since that is what I am using. Contact me if you are interested, this only pays $15 but hey for some of you this is a cakewalk. More business will come.
