The purpose of this project is to create an iPhone app for the Microsoft Bluetooth numberpad

(MS Part number x821504-001) for enhancing its ability for entering phone numbers on the iPhone.

## Deliverables

1. When Numlock on the numberpad is in the on position:

a. digits currently get sent to the iPhone from the numberpad before call is dialed but there is no way of forcing the iPhone to dial the number. The enter key will be setup to dial the number.

b. + key on numberpad will backspace and delete key behind cursor while the number is being entered.

d. * key will move to the previous number dialed. Subsequent presses of * will go to the previous number until it gets to the top of the list. Enter will dial the highlighted number.

e. / key will move to the next number dialed. Subsequent presses of / will go to the next number until it gets to the bottom of the list. Enter will dial the highlighted number.

2. After the call is connected:

a. The numberpad currently does not transfer numbers after the call is connected. The app will force the iPhone to continue to accept numbers entered on the numberpad after the call is connected. This will let the user enter auto attendant choices and other numeric data like passwords etc. In other words, when the auto attendant answers at the location which was called and it has a menu like "press 1 for men's department", "press 2 for appliances" ? then the app will let the user use the numberpad for making the numeric entry.

b. * on the numberpad will enter * after the call is connected.

c. / will enter / after the call is connected.

d. - will enter - after the call is connected.

e. + will enter plus after the call is connected.

f. enter will enter an enter key after the call is connected.

3. When Numlock on the numberpad is in the off position:

a. * will enter *.

b. / will enter /.

c. - will enter -.

d. + will enter plus.

e. enter will enter an enter key.

f. 8 will move up 1 line.

g. 2 will move down 1 line.

h. 4 will move cursor to left 1 character.

i. 4 will move cursor to right 1 character.

j. home or 7 will move cursor to beginning of line.

k. end or 1 will move cursor to beginning of line.

l. 9 or pgup will move cursor to beginning of text.

m. 3 or pgdn will move cursor to end of text.
