Hello, I noticed your job posting and this sounds like an ideal project for my skill set. From what you have already said, a relational database could indeed be the ideal solution but I would love to hear more details about the project and what type of specific functionality you would be looking for. My price is negotiable pending a discussion and full understanding of the undertaking. I have recently completed a Job Tracking application for a small business which is being used by 5 different users with 4 different user levels so this application sounds like it could possibly be adapted from that which could have a considerable impact on the final project price. Just to expand a little on one of your points, Microsoft Access does not actually support true field-level access to tables but similar functionality can be spoofed using VBA code. It is something that I have had to do in the past to lock certain fields for certain user levels, so if you require that functionality it can be discussed in more detail. As for true locking, Access supports both page and record level locking. I am an Access/SQL/C# developer from Ireland and a native English speaker with a lot of experience in similar applications and I work quickly and at a good price. I have successfully built several databases for use in multi-user environments hosted on Sharepoint and Small Business servers. One in particular is successfully used in a learning centre to track learners and would seem to comprise of a similar structure to this project. There are different ways to structure the database so you and your sales people have different access and this would be determined by where the database would be stored. I can provide references.
