Salt deposition on the electrodes due to electrolysis can vary the resistance and therefore an alternating source voltage must be used. hello dear i am harjeet S, currently working for DRDO for embedded systems and signal analyst. i have lot of experience regarding soil moisture and measurement even with water pumping motors too. we need to implement adc more than 10bit to take accurate moisture content need a mosfet based dc motor pumping or ac relay based ac motor pump control circuit. we may discuss more on chat. thanks harjeet S
