we have an issue that when we power on our Amazon servers via API,
the I/O is very slow to the NFS mount that all my servers are configured to use
i need someone that can solve this issue, the bottleneck seems to be the NFS Mount, and i got 18 servers setup to use this NFS
id also like to setup a pfsense firewall that will protect my servers, the pfsense is configured as a bridge, so it only filters traffic, it doesnt do any routing
if your able to solve my problem, please message me
if your a recruiter for developers, DO NOT contact me
Hi There
No matter how much you increase the throughput for the NFS IO pipe. It'll still hamper in terms of the bandwidth.
I suggest moving all the data to S3 and then have your EC2's call them via API.
S3 is a distributed storage system so it can easily cop with as many servers as you want.
Moreover I don't think using pfsense will make any sense as long as you've your EC2 inside private VPC subnets with inbound traffic filtered via security groups.
Besides I'm super expert in AWS.
That's my profile where you can view my past AWS experiences.

Hi,
I'm Ravi and having 3+ years of experience in the Amazon cloud, Digital Ocean and Google Cloud platforms. Currently I'm managing 6+ web servers in the AWS cloud in a load balanced environment.
I need little more information on 'NFS custom solution' you refereed in the project title. Is it Amazon EFS or the NFS solution built by a system administrator?
I'm looking forward to work in this project. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Thank you.
