I'm got a need for someone with some experience with keyboard/event mapping to a barcode scanner. I've got a demo for a client for a web-based application - the scanner (Symbol) is scanning 1D scan codes just fine, and they are showing up as text in the application. what I'm looking to do is MAP a few scan codes to keyboard/mouse click events for my demonstration. I have a feeling that this is easy to do - but I've not done so and don't want to have something simple like this mess up my demo. I'd prefer to pay by the hour for this, because it won't be a big job - I basically need your expertise and advice. Please DO NOT bid if you don't time immediately. I need some help Today May 6th and Tomorrow May 7th. If the demo is successful, and more integration work is needed for the production implementation you'll be the first person I contact. But this demo only needs a few events mapped just to show the functionality is possible. Oh - I'm on a windows-based PC. The scanner is attached via USB. The application is a web-based client to a Unix (ubuntu 10.10 ) server

My end customer for this project has asked me to put it on-hold. They are re-considering the requirements and may change their minds about this scanner keyboard mapping for slightly different functionality. Thank you for your bid - but I am now WAITING - so I cannot yet accept ANY bids.
