I have a new Beaglebone black. I need to have a special image to be displayed at boot time. I also need kernel optimization to make the boot process go faster. I also need to have the display driver to be updated so that I can display with different resolution 640x480 and 160x64 on LCD port of Beaglebone Black. I am running Debian Wheezy. Only people with Beaglebone black experience to respond.

Hello, my name is Gustavo, I do not have experience with Beaglebone Black, I am honest with you, BUT I do have strong experience with Raspberry Pi equipments, I developed a project Traceability control with Raspberry Pi equipments running as Thin Clients machines: Design and programming from scratch of a system to sense daily control of bread factory. Used to control traceability of raw food material. Technologies used: wxPython, PostgreSQL, Nagios, Raspberry Pi clients connecting through XDMCP protocol to Slackware 14 server. In this machines I performed several *nix configurations, (kernel setup, boot upgrades, modules, libraries, etc) so I can work with your Beaglebone Black for sure as Debian will be similar to RasPI.
