Delphi shadow developer wanted

Hi there, I'm a Delphi developer with 10 years of experience (since Delphi 2 and now D7 and 2006 - for the sexy IDE!). I've developed everything from enterprise apps (MSSQL, Oracle), web applications (WebBroker, ASP.NET), mobile applications (SMS platforms) right through to software cracks (for D7 itself, no less!). I'm running a small ISV in Zimbabwe, where our timezone is CET + 1, and I do have loads of spare time. My girlfriend has a baby from a past relationship, but we don't live together - hence the spare time... I'm inclined to charge you my regular hourly rate ($8/hour), but I'd really like to know a little bit more about your project. I estimate an input of 28 hours per week, or about $1,350.00 per month. I've specified $5,000 here in order to comply with the bid. I'm quite happy to work weekends. I know, you're shocked at the price for a guru like mwa... let me just say US dollars go a long way in Zim! Let me know what your thoughts are. Best regards!

hi, My hour rate is 10$. I worked for a software company for 4 years, most of the time, we used Delphi 7 + MSSQL, and some time Delphi +ORACLE. I charged many projects, some for our goverment, some for company. For example, I completed a TyphoonAnalyseSystem for the Flood Prevention Department of local goverment. I have post this project's detail throught PM. it's base on Delphi 7 + Oracle +GIS In 2006, I also was the main software engineer of a Human Resource Planning project, which is base on Delphi 7+ MSSQL. The most amount of store procedure I used to changed in a project is round 500. In my prev project , I always based on OO design .In design step, I will seperate the persistent layer ,the bussiness logic layer and the user interface, because I believe this will reduce our maintain cost and make the system much more flexable, and extendable. As we know , Delphi give us many powerful and easy to use components! but it's not enough , so , in this few years, I have developed some useful delphi components, which can largely improve reuse rate, and the develop speed. such as login component, currency query component, user management component, right management componment, etc. I don't know what kind of your current project, either C/S or multi tier system is ok for me. expecially the multi tired system, Ithink it's the trend of the software development. For the hardware and the network entironmentare getting more compolex, and the traditional C/S mode will become over load while handling over 100 clients, because in C/S mode, the data and resource can't be share effectually, such as the db connection. so if your project is base on multi tier , I believe that I can be your best shadow ! IF the data relationship in your project is much complex, I recommend that you use Borland's BOLD for Delphi 7 architecture, which support MDA and ORM tech, with it, you can handle the complex data relationship easier and make the logic codes more simple! After you design the UML in BOLD, you nearly get the base logic codes, BOLD will do the code gerneration for you! I also master in php , flash (AS, flex), you can see my preve work reviews. You never know where he/she is, maybe the person in the world that is more psychologically compatible with you lives today in China or in Senegal :) But I understand your point. I'm from South America so in a first approach I'm discarded. Anyway if you want to try with me, I can provide you examples of previous projects completed with delphi (in particular delphi 7), and give you some hours of interaction and work for free so you can test. For the timely zone I can adapt to any hours of interaction, we should only agree in advance in a range of hours that is prefered by you. About the psychological compatibility, there's nothing I can do, but I can ensure you that you will not have a better shadow :) (I have friends in Romania and I don't see a big difference with us south-americans, sincerely...) I'm not sure if you want to do an agreement per task or per hour worked, but for if is the second case, my hourly rate is $8. Payment to be done after work is completed, if you are satisfied with it. If you can pay by stages (e.g. for after a certain amount of work was completed, send a payment for this part and then continue), that would be ideal.
