Clickable map: javascript to display state-by-state info

=========================== CAN **NOT** USE PHP =========================== We have a map on our website [login to view URL] It displays state-by-state legislation, and it receives its information by querying our SQL database using LASSO script ([login to view URL]) The way it currently does this is by asking the user to select a state from the dropdown menu and click submit. It then queries the database for the latest, most updated laws, and returns the information. We would like it to work by just clicking on a state, rather than using the dropdown menu. As it is now, the information would be displayed on that same page, so the page would not need to reload. Furthermore, I would be able to style the text as I wish, to make it look pretty. The map is currently created using javascript and css Would like it to look something like this [login to view URL] notice that when you click on a state you get the information about it on top
