My team would like someone to help create the infrastructure / framework for our online 2D game.
We would like to use Web-sockets because it is simple to implement in the client side and fits the game we are trying to make.
We can also afford and would encourage hosting services such as "Photon: [login to view URL]" if you believe it to be a good direction for us.
You will need to show us how to correctly manage the messages sent and received between the client and server.
We will require players to log in or create an account in which sensitive data is stored somewhere.
The data will consist of player rank and current purchases.
This accounts must be accessible for the game Forums on a website (we do not have that yet but will eventuality need one).
Cheating and hacking can be a big issue with Web-sockets so the server and client need to be programmed in a secure way (not just SSL).
Web-sockets are supported by the Game Making program we are developing the product in. It is called "Construct2: [login to view URL]" and the game will be exported for several platforms.
This project should not take very long, we would do it ourselves if we new how to code properly.
