Hello, my name is Kayla. I am an expert at photoshop painting and rendering. If you take a look at my portfolio on my profile, you'll see I have several examples of digital portraiture, as well as how the final painting compares to the original photo. I think I can capture the likeness of the subject well, and I do this by beginning with a line tracing of the reference photo, which I scan into photoshop. I also upload the photo which I turn black & white and place next to my painting so that I can constantly look back and forth between them. I paint the portrait in black & white first to make sure the values are correct before overlaying color. This is a way of digitally painting based off of a french oil painting technique called grisaille, where you paint in B&W first then add color. I think this is something that many other digital artists may not do, and can have poor results if they don't have a deep understanding of color theory. Regardless, I would very much enjoy doing this piece for you!
Thank you for your consideration!
