Creating Cultures of Acceptance
Beyond Bias is a not for profit training organisation specialising in running courses to corporate and government departments on recognising the “unconscious bias” within and creating a culture of acceptance.
A culture where all are included within an organisations success and are given equal opportunity to thrive and grow within the organisation. No matter ones race, sexual orientation, age, disability or other unique characteristic.
The concept behind the name “Beyond Bias” is that it is our Biases that hold us back in making decisions based on true equality, ultimately to our detriment. If we make decisions Beyond our Biases it will result in a better outcome for ALL.
The other concept with the name is that it is meant to be optimistic – “Beyond” the state of “Bias” ie we get you and the organisation to a place of acceptance if not even harmony with others within the organisation.
Whilst the training is focused on equality in all respects: Gender, Sexual Orientation, Racial discrimination, Age and Disabilities.
Our main focus will be mostly on Racial discrimination. Using the lessons of Genocides and other Racial Atrocities at the heart of our training, including the Holocaust, Cambodia, Aboriginal, Armenian and Rhwanda.
The name "Beyond Bias" has the catch phrase : "Creating Cultures of Acceptance" we believe the catch phrase should be part of the logo..
The other potential areas of training include Business Ethics and Responsibility, Leadership and Reliance.
