I work for a startup too and I understand the requirement. I know a couple of transit advertising companies and the kind of branding they have. Not exactly the most pleasing to the eye. I think typography would go well with this. Even though I don't have a portfolio yet, which I'm working on because I just joined Freelancer, I think it's worth a shot.
