I have worked as a Project Manager & Analyst for the last 12 years.
I have extensive experience with writing automated reports in Excel (Expert level, including VBA), some examples include; Regular reporting tools for sales & marketing, finance & supply chain for Australia's largest food manufacturer, Budget & forecasting tools accounting for over 1000 SKU's and 1M+ customers, Tender submission including auto analysis & comparison reports & a transport tracking tool collating data from 20M+ spend per week into functional reports for the business.
Excel does have limitations with margins & depending on the version you are using & the printing capability's you have will depend on if edge to edge printing is an option. There are a few other printing tricks I have used in the past when converting to PDF that may be helpful in this situation.
A few questions:
1. Which version of excel are you using?
2. Can I be sent a copy/ screenshot of the template? (I have PS CS3)
3. You mentioned other issues, can you clarify? give examples?
4. Do you have edge to edge print capability's?
5. Which PDF conversion software are you using?
My usual day rate for this type of work is $800 AUD (550EU), I have quoted 220 ($300AUD) assuming that this will be approx. 3Hrs work. Once my questions above have been answered (especially other issues) I'll be able to reassess the quote if necessary.
