1) First calculate the loads acting on the beam. These are

• Self weight of the slab

• Imposed loading

• Wall partition load for internal wall

• External wall load

2) Calculate the snow load for roof area – using Eurocode 1

• For load acting on roof surface area

3) Calculate wind load - using Eurocode 1

• External wind load acting on the surface of your chosen building side, i.e, left, right, front, or back

• External wind load acting on the roof

• Internal wind load acting within the building

4) Add all loads together to find the total loads acting on the beams

5) Apply loads to SAP 2000 model

6) Compare hand calculation with Sap 2000 analysis

7) Do your combination of permanent and variable actions

8) Sap 2000 model drawing of he applied load and the bending moments, axial forces

9)then carry out the other part which is Design for your column - 30%
