The project will involve two main elements:
(1) Creation of a 3D model (similar to a 360 degree virtual tour) of a room
- You will be provided multiple photos of the same room. For example: Front photos of Wall 1, Wall 2, Wall 3, Wall 4, Ceiling and the floor
- You will be required to use these photographs to create a 3D model of the room
- The output:
- Should allow the user to look at a 3D model of the room on his/her computer/tablet screen
- Enable the user to zoom in/out at specific points in the room
- A good example is the result obtained from Google maps street view
(2) Extracting Pieces of Furniture from the Model
- This element will require you to extract pieces of furniture from the model
- You will be required to create different versions of the model with each piece of furniture missing – For example: If there are three pieces of furniture in the model - (i) Sofa; (ii) Dining Table; and (iii) Coffee Table – You will be required to create four different models - (i) One model with Sofa missing; (ii) Second model with Dining Table missing; (iii) Third model with coffee table missing; and (iv) Fourth model with all the pieces furniture as in the original photos.
