This proposal pertains to upgrading Joomla 1.5.6 to 3.x.x. The will involve creating a backup of the existing site, articles and users. If there are a lot of plugins being used, it will be necessary to determine if the plugins are compatible with 3.x.x. If they aren’t then suitable replacements will need to be found. Once it is determined that migration to 3.x.x is possible, it will be installed and previously exported data will be imported. Menu items may need to be recreated and plugins reinstalled.
