Description:
A bold, modern and well designed website with a simple and easy-to-use
content management system, used for advertising unique and niche
products available for sale on 3rd party websites. The aim is to
provide inspiration, build a regular user base, and bring a stronger
web presence to the featured products, sending high numbers of
qualified customers to affiliate sites, earning a commission in the
process.
The site will be highly dynamic, with new products, images, info and
articles being added on a daily basis. As such the process of
managing the content needs to be quick and efficient.
Social media links and related pages will be integrated with links at
the top right of the home page (facebook, twitter, pinterest, tumblr
etc). There will be a link for users to subscribe to a newsletter
with their email address, and a dedicated blog page, and press
inquiries page.
The website will provide a "like" or "heart" function for each
product, allowing us to track and rate the most popular products.
The design will be clean and simple, but modern and striking, with the
focus firmly on the products on offer, and the dynamic nature of the
site. The frontpage will include the logo and strapline, a menu
derived from cms defined categories, a featured product slider, and a
product pane which clicks through to the specific product page. The
product pages will display product details from the cms, and a grid of
thumbnail images that can be clicked on for a full size javascript
popup view, with next and previous buttons.
As advertising is the main purpose of the site, SEO principals must be
used throughout, as much of the traffic will originate from search
engines. The use of sitemaps, metadata, keywords, friendly urls and
google analytics must be built in.
