Build a Website

This project was first awarded to a Web Development Company to deliver all defined scope of works to acceptable standard within 60 days. The company in question completed many of the functionalities but failed to deliver a fully working website. They have been making promise after promise to complete the work and have failed to close all open issues. The project has been running for too long and we have now decided to cancel the contract. We have been very patient with the previous web development company and have given them more than enough time to complete project.

There is now opportunity for a competent web development company to bid for the outstanding open and pending issues to be completed within agreed timeline.

Attached spread sheet contains details of 54 open and pending issues which are prioritised and ranked 1 to 54. These 54 issues comprise of 34 changes to existing functionalities and 20 new functionalities not started by previous developer.

We require delivery in order of ranking though can change ranking where there are links between functionalities.

Milestone Definition

• Milestone 1: Complete 27 Priority 1 Issues – 25% Payment on completion

• Milestone 2: Complete 14 Priority 2 Issues – 25% Payment on completion

• Milestone 3: Complete 13 Priority 3 Issues – 25% Payment on completion

• Milestone 4: Complete all scope of works – 25% Payment on completion

We can agree to milestone payment and release each payment once that milestone is completed. We require strong commitment to complete this work within agreed timeline. Hence once milestone dates are agreed there will be penalty applied for each week of delay. We require agreement on 5% reduction per week delay as penalty deductions from total cost of project.

Scope of Works

• Complete all 54 open issues to industry standard coding and design on our development server. You will receive access to ftp and MySQL database.

• Simple and easy to use forms and interfaces

• Reliable and robust website solution

• Complete security check of existing coding and fix any potential security risks

• Resolution of any coding errors or bug fix within agreed SLA

• Provide 3 months free support and maintenance

• Agree hourly rate and SLA for adding new functionality, new services and general maintenance or urgent problem investigation and resolution post-delivery of all milestones.

• We require a Non-Disclosure Agreement to be signed by both parties

• We require a service level agreement to be signed by both parties

Please bid only if you have the technical expertise, ability and resource to deliver this project. You need to understand the detailed functionality requirements and issues that need to be resolved from the information supplied. Your bid must include total cost and milestone delivery duration. If you are unable to deliver any part of the scope of works then that must be highlighted in your bid.

Selected bidders will receive further information containing screen snapshots and functionality descriptions for 19 of the 27 Priority 1 Issues. However those who under estimate their quotation and revise their bid more than 20% following receipt of this information will be automatically discounted.
