"The Queen Of Washington" is a novel about the Confederate spy Rose Greenhow. She was a real person and there are photos available of her online. The woman in this illustration should look like her.

The scene depicted in the illo is a parlor with yellow walls, possibly with wallpaper patterns that do not distract from the main image. Rose Greenhow, dressed in a black silk negligee is being embraced from behind by a Union Army officer. Her head is thrown back against his shoulder as he kisses her neck but she has a map of Washington DC streets firmly grasped in one hand, It is unfurled and shows military defenses in red ink. Rose is about 40 years old but still has a great body, visible through the filmy negligee, The Union Captain has one arm around her, which partially covers her breasts. His hair is blond and long and he has a short beard of that period as well, His eyes and her eyes are closed.

It is a passionate moment. Bidders who provide preliminary sketches have a better chance of winning this bid. This job is 'work for hire".
