Just to provide little background of the project for better understanding.
Assume that there is a super market with many items on various shelves. Each item has a special and unique active tag for identification. The active tag can be detected and read by robotic device from 3 to 5 meter distance.
No,w, there is a robotic device which is self driven and has an arm and hand mounted on it. As the robotic device will reach within the range distance of (3 to 5 meter), it will establish the communication with active tag of the item. Once the communication is established, and robotic device has a command to pick up this item, robotic device should:
1) calculate the distance between current location of robot and current location of active tag item
2) Calculate the height of the active tag item
3) Identify the direction (path) to reach to item to pick up the item with robotic arm/hand
4) Once the item is picked up, it should be kept in the cart
General Notes:
1) This is for POC purpose only
2) For POC, the length could be smaller than the actual for demo purpose only
3) For POC, the robotic arm should be able to pick up <500g items
4) For POC, the dimension of item could be approximately between 4" x 6"
Expectations:
1) Participant should be skillful to complete POC from A-Z
