Greetings,
My name is Matthew Lennartz. I am writing a novel, "The Story Stone," in the genre of Historical-Fantasy. The core of this book involves exceptional moments in American history. Fantasy is a mechanism used to attract my audience of 12 - 18-year-old readers. For example, the protagonist discovers a time traveling device that ports him to these important moments. In all, I have included 10 of great moments within the novel, each having a devoted chapter. It is important to note that half of the chapters presented depict African-American history. This decision is such as their story is, unfortunately, taken a back seat to traditional English-American history for far too long.
My request today is to enlist an ardent and passionate lover and subject matter expert in American History. The selected candidate will proofread all historically-based chapters to ensure accuracy and authentication. Every detail should be considered including garb for each class, environment, dialogue, cityscapes, etcetera. In addition, the successful candidate will provide little-known facts regarding each moment illustrated. Also, to these requisites, any background in traditional and African - American colloquialisms is a plus.
Children are the heartbeat of our future. I holistically believe we need to present the entire truth regarding historical accounts. This is a greater goal for the book. In addition, and importantly, utilizing outside mechanisms, such as Fantasy, to teach but not go astray from the facts being told, is epic.
A bit about me. I am a passionate writer where blood, tears, and passion are the ink from which my pen is drawn. In addition, my long-lasting devotion and literal adoration for American history allow my words and expressions to come freely and often.
